Description
What are Dungeon Domains?
Dungeon Domains are hand-drawn geomorphs representing sections of dungeons, caverns, sewers, or catacombs, fleshed out with flavourful and detailed descriptions of each area as well as a unique legend explaining the dungeon’s history, all to provide GMs with inspiration to create their own dungeon-delving adventures using any system or setting of their choice.
Every Dungeon Domain has been designed to connect seamlessly with any of its sister products, allowing GMs to construct or expand dungeons of any size with minimal effort.
What is Mourngloom Keep?
No fewer than twelve releases have paved the road for Dungeon Domains: Mourngloom Keep—a necromancer’s subterranean stronghold dedicated to secret experiments in forbidden alchemy. Legends speak of Sareth of Daudenmyr; a man who once held the title of High Augur among the fabled Black Seers until fate led him along another path: towards hermetic necroalchemy. Consumed by the pursuit to distill the pure essence of death itself, Sareth built an underground fortress to surround his necroalchemical laboratory. In time, Sareth’s mastery of the forbidden art led him to discover the secret of the Ultima Letum: the distilled essence of death, a single drop of which would be capable of felling a god.
Fuelled by vast amounts of cadavers, Sareth’s secret experiments eventually raised so much suspicion even the title of High Augur could not protect him anymore. As Sareth awaited trial in the dungeons beneath the Onyx Citadel, he is said to have penned down his vast knowledge on necroalchemy in a small book bound in crimson leather called the Red Rubric. In exchange for the Red Rubric, the Black Seers commuted Sareth’s sentence from death to banishment, sending the disgraced Augur to the darkest depths of the Complex. Here, with the aid of deathless servants, Sareth built the underground fortress of Mourngloom Keep and continued his quest for the Ultima Letum.
